Carlos is a Puerto Rican geographer and vexillologist with an interest in sub national flags, geographic elements on flags, flag curriculum and flag surveys. Current PhD student at the Department of Geography of the National University of Singapore. He is the head of the Selection Committee.
Laura is a Brazilian graphic designer. She has a Master’s Degree in Design and a BFA in Graphic Design. Combining practice and theory, she has also worked for more than six years at Greco Design, one of the most awarded graphic design companies in Brazil, where she has won, along with her teams, the main design awards in the world, such as D&AD, Cannes Lions, iF and Red Dot.
Winn Wasson is a librarian at New College of Florida in Sarasota. His interest in vexillology dates back nearly three decades, and his prized possession is his collection of over 500 miniature flags.
Zachary first got into Vexillology during the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. He is proficient in Japanese and was a helping hand for ICV 23 in Yokohama. He previously helped design NAVA 52’s Meeting Flag in Quebec City.
Maikel is originally from Havana. His primary focus of research has been symbols as they relate to Cuban history: seals, coats of arms, flags, ceremonials and protocol. He has written books on Cuban awards (in which he has become the sole reference for other authors), Government Etiquette, Heraldry and Vexillology, and has published articles in several specialized publications.
